Please note we are aware that places on our advertised Working Together Courses are now full. We are in the process of arranging dates for the new financial year and we hope to have these advertised early next month. Please bear with us.
This course is designed to provide participants with updates to policy and proceedures and to cover new or emerging areas of safeguarding practice to refresh their knowledge. The one day course is recommended for all staff and volunteers working with children, young people and their families who have completed the Working Together to Safeguard Children course in the last 3 years and who will contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of children and parenting capacity through contribution to section 47 enquiries, Child Protection Conferences and working with complex cases and co-ordinating assessments of Children in Need. In some organisations this will be the Designated Safeguarding Leads e.g. nursery settings or schools; in other organisations it will be a larger proportion of staff whose main job covers such safeguarding roles e.g. Social Workers or Family Case Workers.
